Ashley Nugent

Ashley lives in Sutton with her husband and 3 children (Matthew, Olivia and Owen) who have been her biggest motivators to become the best she can be. She has a background in finance, working as a mortgage underwriter for 9 years. Although she started out in a finance career, her real passion is working with children. In September 2023, she began working as a school lunch assistant and it is through this experience that it became clear her next career needed to include working with children. As of January 2024, she will be a full-time student, studying to become a Child and Youth worker. The Family Place not only was one of her kid's favourite places to go, but was always a space where she could go on the worst days and come out feeling like she could handle the world again. She is so excited to be able to give back to an organization that made such a positive impact on her family during those tough early years.
