Jen Hanson

Jen has spent her professional life working in the fields of education and nonprofit leadership. With a Master's Degree in Education, she blends academic insights with hands-on strategies to effect meaningful change. As the Executive Director of Connected in Motion for over a decade, Jen has significantly impacted the lives of adults with Type 1 diabetes by bridging the gap between clinical care and day-to-day experiences. Jen is a registered kinesiologist, certified diabetes educator, and teacher. She looks forward to staying connected with the childhood education industry through her annual work as the Youth Program Coordinator for Children with Diabetes and in various roles guiding outdoor adventure programming. Jen is Mom to 2-year-old Dylan. She and her husband, Derek, live in Mount Albert.
