Get to Know Us
The Family Place is a registered charity dedicated to supporting children aged 0-6 and their caregivers. We offer a wide range of services, including drop-in play, educational programs, and social and recreational activities.

Our facility features two spacious playrooms, engaging crafts, and a welcoming environment where children and caregivers can connect and grow together. We also provide hot lunches and a variety of programs designed to support both children and those who care for them.
History
The Family Place, officially established in 1991 as The Strawberry Patch in Queensville, Ontario, was born from the vision of two mothers who sought a supportive space for families to gather and share their experiences. This idea quickly grew, leading to the creation of a board of directors and the establishment of additional sites in Keswick and Sutton, with Mount Albert on the horizon.

In 2002, following changes in government funding for family programs, The Family Place made the decision to remain an independent family resource program. While the original sites were closed during this transition, the organization continues to thrive in Mount Albert, serving hundreds of families in the region every year.

The Family Place is funded by the Newmarket Charitable Gaming Association (Bingo World), along with support from annual fundraisers and private donations.
