Director of Family Engagement and Programs
Mike Brain
As a resident of Mount Albert, Mike is deeply invested in the community The Family Place serves. He is committed to supporting people and families through inclusive, people-centered leadership rooted in connection and care. With a growing family of his own and a receptive approach to acquiring insight, his understanding of the needs of families continually evolves.
With over 10+ years of experience in leadership roles within recreation, he brings a strong community-focused approach to his work that encourages creativity, exploration and well-being.
Mike is also a photographer and has worked with local families and businesses, further deepening his connection to the community.
Our Board of Directors
The Family Place's Board of Directors oversee the governance of the organization. Comprising individuals deeply committed to enhancing the lives of families and children, they bring expertise, endorse the importance of parenting, and aim to foster a community of learning, empowerment, and well-being. Each Director volunteers to serve for the term of 2-3 years.
